About Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection: The Final Chapter

Marking 200 years of whiskey-making excellence at the legendary Old Midleton Distillery, Midleton proudly unveiled in 2025 its oldest-ever release – a remarkable 50-year-old Single Pot Still whiskey.

A celebration of legacy, artistry, and unparalleled craftsmanship, it is the final chapter of the Midleton very Rare Silent Distillery Collection, a collection of whiskeys distilled at the now silent Old Midleton Distillery.

Meticulously matured in an extraordinary tailor-made cask by Master Cooper Ger Buckley, which incorporates wood from the five original casks previously used in each of the earlier editions of the Silent Distillery collection. This exquisite spirit harmoniously blends bourbon, port, and sherry influences, creating an exceptionally balanced profile of complex, layered flavors.

The whiskey is elegantly presented in a uniquely designed, mouth-blown crystal decanter, carefully shaped by the master artisans of Ireland's world-renowned House of Waterford, each decanter distinctively etched and polished by hand. The whiskey is housed within a meticulously handcrafted wooden cabinet by acclaimed craftsman John Galvin. Crafted from a blend of rare woods, including Walnut, Japanese Tamo, Elm Burr, and the strikingly beautiful Birdseye Maple, each cabinet showcases extraordinary attention to detail, precision engineering, and contemporary design.

Limited to only 225 bottles worldwide, each release represents an unrepeatable piece of Irish whiskey history and an heirloom of timeless luxury.
